Eco Era
Eco Era Reserve: Experience the Natural Way. The Cerro Nara Reserve encompasses close to 10,000 hectares of rainforest and three major rivers. In addition to the abundance of flora and fauna, the reserve is home to the watershed of the Naranjo River that extends through the central basin, past Manuel Antonio National Park, and into the Pacific Ocean.

EcoTeach
Based in Washington State and Costa Rica, this non-profit organization offers study tours, exchange projects and a very nice volunteer placement service between the two countries. Some of their projects are available for university credit.

Fundación Rios Tropicales
Their specific mission is to preserve, protect and restore the Pacuare and Reventazón River watersheds, which are threatened by several government hydroelectric projects. Sarapiquí Conservation Learning Center
The Sarapiquí Conservation Learning Center (SCLC) is located in the northern lowland rainforest of Costa Rica near the town of Puerto Viejo. The SCLC works to foster environmental education in the local community and to support conservation projects to protect the Sarapiquí region's rich natural heritage.
